The Schweizerische Textilfachschule (Swiss Textile Technical College – STF) is to hold its Textile & Fashion Days on 22 and 23 March 2018 in Zurich. As well as other activities, there will be a workshop making bags out of used pairs of jeans. TEXAID has provided some old pairs of jeans for the upcycling workshop.

The STF is an internationally renowned training institution for textiles, fashion and management. The focus of this year’s Textile & Fashion Days is the “urban jungle”. As well as presentations on sustainable and resource-efficient production and the cradle-to-cradle principle, there will be many side events during the two days, led by STF students past and present. Students will present parts of collections made from old clothes and numerous pop-up stores will display and sell innovative products from sustainable sources.

Visitors will also be offered a workshop in which old jeans will be made into new bags. TEXAID has provided the old jeans for the event.
