Millions in Funding: TEXAID as a Partner in the Management Team for Innovation Community
Textile circular economy: millions in funding for the Circular Textiles Innovation Community - TEXAID supports Augsburg University of Applied Sciences as a partner in the management team
Augsburg University of Applied Sciences (THA) was successful in the DATIpilot funding program of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with its Circular Textiles project. Over the next four years, THA will have up to five million euros at its disposal to develop technological and social innovations for a sustainable textile circular economy. Circular Textiles focusses on the entire recycling and value chain of textiles.
TEXAID is a partner in the management team of the Circular Textiles innovation community alongside the Forschungskuratorium Textil e.V. and the hessnatur foundation.
"As a premium partner of the ITA-Augsburg recycling studio, we have been working closely and successfully with Prof. Schlichter and his team for years. For us, it is both an honor and an opportunity to be able to participate in a pioneering and innovation-driven collaboration with the support of the federal government and to realize our shared vision of a sustainable textile cycle. We are contributing our decades of experience in the areas of expertise of collecting, sorting, reusing and recycling to the collaboration. This underpins our conviction that we can only achieve a complete textile cycle through a holistic approach."
Thomas Böschen, Managing Director of TEXAID Germany and partner in the management team of the Circular Textiles Innovation Community.
