TEXAID is now an official partner of the German Red Cross and is providing support for the "Disaster prevention and climate change adaptation" GRC project in Vietnam.

"As a partner of the German Red Cross, we are pleased to be able to expand our commitment in the area of ecological and social sustainability over the long term," explained Martin Böschen, CEO of the TEXAID Group. "Since our being founded as a private charity partnership, we have been working in close cooperation with the Swiss Red Cross and other charitable organizations. This is why we see our new support for the valuable work done by the German Red Cross and its international aid projects as a natural development," continued Böschen.

Since 2007, the German Red Cross has maintained an office in Hanoi and coordinated cooperation in the areas of acute emergency and disaster aid, disaster prevention, adaptation to climate change, water/sanitation provision and hygiene, including health issues, from that location.
