TEXAID Replaces Parts of Its Fleet with More Electric Vehicles

The TEXAID parent company in Switzerland currently operates a fleet of around 55 vehicles, primarily used for emptying textile recycling containers across the country. To optimize routes both economically and ecologically, TEXAID utilizes digital software. Recently, TEXAID replaced nine more vehicles with new electric models. This initiative is part of TEXAID’s sustainability strategy and a significant step towards reducing the ecological footprint.

"Change doesn’t happen overnight; it’s made up of many small and significant steps. TEXAID has embedded sustainability at the core of its business operations. We do not rest on this foundation but continuously strive to minimize our environmental impact. Our plan for our business fleet in Switzerland is clear: gradually replacing traditional combustion engines with innovative electric vehicles, aiming to reach 80% by the end of 2024. Today, we are pleased to announce that more vehicles bearing the 'TEXAID for climate' logo are now servicing our textile recycling containers across Switzerland," says Philipp Stoller, Managing Director of TEXAID Textilverwertungs-AG.

Since its founding in 1978, TEXAID has combined economic action with ecological responsibility and is on the path towards holistic sustainable business practices.
