Here at the sorting plant in Schattdorf we’re increasingly taking delivery not only of textiles, but also discarded toys. What is TEXAID doing with them?

We hand playthings that are in good condition over to the Hilfsgüterzentrale, a relief supplies centre run by the 3HF Stiftung Switzerland, a humanitarian foundation. This organisation passes the toys on to needy families with children in Haiti. In early December this year we once again managed to fill two pallets with toys, which went into a shipping container along with aid supplies from other organisations and were delivered to Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
