Social sustainability
TEXAID has been combining ecological and social responsibility since 1978.
We meet our great social responsibility via the following measures in particular:
- Creating fair and progressive working conditions for over 1,200 employees in seven countries.
- Ensuring a free disposal service for the public and municipalities.
- Offering used clothes for sale in numerous countries. Used textiles create valuable jobs in the recipient countries, for example in alterations and trading.
- Paying annual remuneration to the associated aid organisations. These funds are then put towards social projects in Switzerland and abroad.
