Sustainability Report 2017
COMMUNICATING WITH STAKEHOLDERS At TEXAID we interact with several groups of stakeholders and consider their requests and expectations in our strategy definition as well as providing them with regular updates on our strategy process. These stakeholders include our employees, shareholders, and charities, as well as textile manufacturers, customers, and policy makers on a local and federal level. In Switzerland and Germany, TEXAID coopera- tes with several municipalities on defining and implementing best practice standards for collecting and recycling of used textiles. On a federal and EU-level, we are in constant contact with government officials, authorities, and various organizations to create and improve constant awareness for the regulatory is- sues and requirements associated with the collection, sorting and recycling of used textiles. Our constant communication with our stakeholders allows us to get a better understanding of their respective expectations towards TEXAID, based on which we identify the core objectives and measures contributing to the long-term development of our organization. Based on our conversations, we have identified several key issues of high impact and importance from the stakeholders. These key issues are the basis for the definition of strategic measures along the value chain. These strategic measures have been further developed in internal workshops and are being bro- ken down into operational actions for the individual departments. 12 employees charities textile manufacturers & dealers policy makers & media municipalities & local authorities shareholders (relief agencies) clients (wholesale and retail/end customers) distributing compa- nies/consumers Mitbewerber TEXAID stakeholders competing companies
