Textile Overstock Production and trade results in textile waste as well as millions of tons of textile overstock. For the most part, these are being resold to wholesalers and outlets or being incinerated. In Europe, vari- ous laws and regulations govern in detail the dis- posal of textile waste and the resale of premium textile overstock. To meet professional standards and the increased ecological demands of consumers, manufactu- rers and retailers are increasingly working with experienced textile recycling companies. TEXAID collaborates with reputable global brand manu- facturers to develop tailored and environmentally sound recycling solutions for these overstocks. As a recycling solution specialist, TEXAID acquires, in- spects and sorts textile overstocks before they are being marketed globally. The goal is to keep the clothing, shoes and household textiles in the textile life cycle while respecting the wishes and restrictions of the respective textile manufacturer or brand owner.
